Our tracks Welterweight and Ça Fa Palome are on the soundtrack for a video profile of artist Chico MacMurtrie on Caught in the Act: Art in Brooklyn. We’d like to thank filmmaker Nerina Penzhorn for selecting us. We love the way our music works with the film, and we’re fans of Chico’s work. (Nerina previously put us on the soundtrack for her film Saint Jude.)

We’ve sifted through the archives and applied some spit and shine, and are now thrilled to announce the release of our first full-length album, Tops Crops Snaps Hots. The collection compiles highlights of our past web-only releases, remastered and lovingly sequenced into a continuous 63’25” mix,
Tops Crops Snaps Hots is available for sale as a jewel-boxed CD-R for $10 (including domestic US shipping). Please contact us via e-mail to purchase a copy. All proceeds will be used to cover costs and your support will help make future Glass Bees projects possible. There are two editions (so far) of the packaging. The music is exactly the same for each. Please specify which you’d prefer when you order.
The packaging for the first edition features illustrations and hand-carved, hand-stamped type by Jason Das, Each one’s a little bit different, just like you. Here’s four examples:

The second edition is more mass-produced and looks like this:

Tops Crops Snaps Hots was mastered by Jim Bentley, and mixed by Jim, Jason, and Chris at the Fort in Brooklyn. The CD includes the following tracks:
Big thanks to those who have played us on the radio, including WFMU, Little Fyodor at KGNU, WPRB and Jon Solomon’s Local Support podcast.
We hope you enjoy it, too.
